What is low voltage cable?

Power low voltage cables (lv cable) are suitable for alternating current (AC) equipment with voltage ratings from 50 to 1000V and direct current (DC) equipment with voltage ratings from 75 to 1500V, and are therefore not affected by high electrical stress.

Can low voltage power cable cause a fire?
